'convert coloured petri net to pnml format

I am have been trying out CPNTools for exploring and simulating colored petri nets. It seems like PNML is the standard format of petri nets. Also colored petri nets can be represented using PNML format.

  1. Is there a way to export .cpn files to .pnml? Or any intermediate format that can be converted to PNML.

  2. Does any Petri Net Editor offer this feature?

Any tools, techniques and resources you have used are welcome

My objective is to draw CPN and to be able to read their representation is an XML format (preferably PNML format). Also, I looked at PIPE, which lets users draw CPN, but allows export as an image only.

EDIT: Related questions on Petri Net Editors are either outdated, or the tool chain is not what I am looking for

Solution 1:[1]

CPNTools GUI has a feature to save the CPN .pnml format.
