'MacOS MySQL WorkBench 8.0.25 Database does not display in Data Export )bject Selection
Screenshot of Data Export Screen showing dbMDRC ticked and no Tables
When I try to make a backup with "Administration - Data Export" I tick dbMDRC as shown in the image but no table list appears under export schema objects on the right hand side.
If I highlight "sys" then a list of the tables in "sys" correctly appears.
A bit of recent history may be helpful as background.
A few days ago MySQL crashed, just as I was about to make a backup, and would not restart. So I uninstalled MySQL and reinstalled the current version (8.0.25). I also had to reinstall MySQL WorkBench (8.0.25) and that first required me to upgrade from MacOS X Catalina to Big Sur. This all appears to have worked correctly.
I then recreated dbMDRC in Terminal and used a backup from the day before (thereby loosing one days work, but that is minor,) to reload the database. This worked correctly and I was able to edit records in a table, view them and even export to a .csv which again appears correct. I should mention that I had been using "Administration - Data Export" quite happily up to that point.
I then tied to make a backup with the result detailed above and shown in the attached image.
I looks to me as if "Administration - Data Export" is looking in the wrong place or an empty version of dbMDRC. But I don't know where or why. I connected to MySQL and loaded the correct version of dbMDRC and was able to view/edit the data.
Does anyone have a clue what might be wrong ? and even better - what to do to correct the problem ?
Many thanks to anybody who can solve this
