'GRAFANA ERROR - Failed to evaluate queries and expressions: failed to execute conditions: input data must be a wide series but got type long
When I try to create an alarm with Grafana, I get this error if there is no record that will trigger any alarm within the specified time period. If there is even a single value that will trigger the alarm, the problem does not occur.

This could be down to how your query is written. Would you be able to post your query?
What does you query return when there are no results? From the error, it's returning a long. Perhaps Grafana cloud only accepts integers?
If I had to guess, I would say that you might not have a stat command in your query?
